Statement Installations
A beautiful floral installation to replace the traditional archway or trellis often seen at the wedding ceremony altar is one of the year's newest wedding flower trends.
It is a great way of creating a backdrop for your wedding photos and ceremonies such as overhead floral hoops, meadow aisles and floral meadows climbing up staircases.
Floral Hoops
Use a gorgeous floral hoop in place of a traditional arch or entryway at your wedding to show off the personality of your day. Use it as a impressive feature above your reception tables.
Meadow Aisles
A floral arrangement installation known as a meadow aisle – they are not as large as a flower arch or flower wall, but they serve the same purpose of separating the aisle from the guests' seating during your wedding ceremony.
When the bride and wedding party walk down the aisle, they are supposed to give the sense of making a path through a beautiful meadow.
Staircase Meadows
Another wedding flower trend is a floral staircase meadow, like the meadow aisle these look gorgeous flowing up the stairs and look incredible in those key portrait shots.
Sustainable Floristry
This is up there with my favourite wedding flower trend – sustainable floristry! This focuses on ensuring that the floristry techniques and floral practises we use are appropriate for use now while also considering the impact on the future.
In recent years, the floristry and horticultural industries have relied heavily on single-use plastics and materials, such as floral foam, that are not always recyclable.
Some ways that I, as a wedding florist promote sustainability, are sourcing more British-grown flowers, creating wedding designs with chicken wire and moss instead of floral foam, and making organic designs that work with the settings.
This could involve using potted plants and trees that can be reused afterwards, or even setting up a flower bar after the wedding to gift the flowers to guests, which I think is a lovely idea!
All-White Wedding Flowers
The monochrome look is a wedding flower trend, and using all the same colour flowers such as white is very popular right now and I can see why!
A monochromatic colour scheme in interior design is not the use of only one colour in the same value throughout a space. Monochromatic decorating means that the colour will be refined in a few different hues, tints, and shades to elevate and create a specific aesthetic throughout a space. A monochromatic colour scheme also has a very modern appearance.
Creating ombré tablescapes and photo moments is one of my favourite ways to incorporate monochrome into the wedding decor. Flower walls are excellent places to use a monochromatic colour scheme to make the backdrop stand out.
Sunset Pinks
Soft and dark pinks with pops of yellow and lilac is a beautiful way of creating sunset tones, which you truly can’t go wrong with, can you?
This wedding flower trend is timeless, whilst adding in pops of colour that aren’t in your face, but in fact subtle and elegant.
Let’s Create Your Wedding Vision
When it comes to the top wedding flower trends, I believe that timeless, seasonal, and natural floral designs can never go wrong.
